In light of US President Donald Trump’s speech later today in which he is expected to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the BICOM research team has updated its briefing on the city of Jerusalem.
The briefing explains the history of the city, it’s significance to the three monotheistic religions and sequence of events that led to the current status quo in the city. It also outlines the city’s status under international law and official UK Government policy.
