Palestinians plan to fly en masse to Ben Gurion Airport

[ssba]

Pro-Palestinian activists are planning to send hundreds of Palestinians living abroad on commercial flights to Ben Gurion Airport in a new form of protest to compliment the recent Nakba Day activities and an anticipated Gaza-bound flotilla later this month. Organisers have said that 500 people have already scheduled flights for Israel and are planning the ‘fly in’ to Ben Gurion Airport on 8 July where they will hold a protest rally at the airport before traveling to the West Bank to express ‘solidarity’ with the Palestinians. Information on the ‘fly in’ protest was obtained by a report released by the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Centre, an Israeli NGO.

Meanwhile, a Hamas-linked website called on Palestinian refugees and their descendants to travel to Israel on commercial flights on Saturday and Sunday as part of events commemorating the Arab defeat in the Six Day War.
