“I believe there is an opportunity for our government to seize the initiative. Frankly, the conflict is our problem and it is for us to decide what we want. I would like to see us take the right decisions for ourselves, and move proactively in that direction. If we do so, while leaving the door open to a future agreement within the regional framework of a two-state solution, we are likely to find regional and international partners who will work with us, even if peace is not around the corner.”
