Lara Friedman is a former US State Department official who held postings in Jerusalem, Washington, Tunis and Beirut, and is the Director of Policy and Government Relations for Americans for Peace Now. She addressed a Fathom Forum at BICOM’s London office on 23 July 2013, discussing John Kerry’s diplomatic breakthrough, the way the State Department has handled the process so far, and her hopes for success in upcoming peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
