Violence broke out in Lebanon last week following the assassination of  a senior anti-Syrian intelligence officer, Brig. Gen. Wissam al-Hassan. The internal conflict in Syria is having an increasing impact on Syria’s neighbours, including Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. In this interview, BICOM’s Senior Visiting Fellow, Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Michael Herzog assesses the regional implications of the unrest in Lebanon including the potential impact on Israeli security, as well as the latest flare up on the Gaza-Israel border.
