A “slip” by a senior Israeli officer to The New York Times; dozens of Syrian anti-aircraft missiles launched towards non-existing targets; and on Independence Day, reservists being called up in what has been announced as an “error.” Nothing is coincidental. So many “mistakes” in one week make up a policy.
It’s hard to shake off the impression someone is seeking to shake up the Iranians. The idea behind this strategy is not to have a proportional “blow for blow” brawl between Israel and Iran.
