The Daily Telegraph has an exclusive interview with Minister for Strategic Affairs, Yuval Steinitz.  In the interview he suggests it is still possible to revive the peace talks.  If the Palestinians were to cancel their unilateral move to join international organisations, Israel could release the 26 terrorists prisoners including the 14 Israeli Arabs.  Steinitz also relates to Iran in his interview, arguing that because of the sanctions still in place, the “world has enough leverage to compel Iran to dismantle its uranium enrichment facilities”.

The Independent and Independent i both report on Israeli concern that US Secretary of State has shown bias against Israel with his latest comments on the stalled peace process.   The BBC notes that as a response to the “Palestinian violations of their commitments under peace talks”, Prime Minister Netanyahu has instructed his ministers to halt high level meetings with Palestinian counterparts.

The Independent, Independent i and BBC also include a report on the nuclear negotiations with Iran and the P5+1 moving ahead.  Marking Iran’s National Day of Nuclear Technology, Iran’s supreme leader Khamenei, although backing negotiations, is quoted as saying, “The country’s nuclear achievements can’t be stopped and no one has the right to bargain over it”.

The Times contains a report released by US company Mediant on the emerging strength of Iran and Syria in the realm of global cyber warfare, suggesting that in August 2012 Tehran attacked two Gulf energy companies, destroying data on thousands of computers.  The report also suggests that Iran is now targeting “Western energy firms and government agencies”.

The Independent additionally contains a detailed piece reflecting the tensions of the ultra orthodox who study at the Hebron Yeshiva in Jerusalem against the recent legislation to draft them into the army.

Furthermore, the Times highlights the latest Israeli technology that can recharge a mobile phone from zero to full power in less than 30 seconds.

In the Israeli media, Maariv-NRG, Yediot Ahronoth and Israel Hayom all prominently feature the successful launch of Israel’s latest satellite, the Ofek 10, into orbit. It has already begun broadcasting pictures and data.

Yediot Ahronoth also leads on the consensus opinion amongst former directors of the General Security Service (GSS) who recommend classifying attacks on Israeli soldiers by settlers as ‘terrorism’.   According to Avraham Shalom (GSS director 1980-86) “It’s terrorism because it isn’t done out of greed, or in the context of a dispute between neighbours. It’s terrorism that serves a political goal in a violent and dangerous way, and the GSS needs to deal with it the way it deals with any phenomenon that undermines state security.” Israel Hayom and Haaretz also reports on the aftermath of the attack on the military position in Yitzhar that five more settlers have been arrested.

Maariv-NRG follows the ongoing disagreement within the coalition over the direction of the peace process.  They refer to a letter written by Jewish Home leader Naftali Bennett who urges the Prime Minister for, “new thinking”, suggesting Israel annex the settlement blocks.  In response chief negotiator and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni suggested this plan would “isolate ourselves to death”.

The Times of Israel and Israel Hayom cover the meeting between Secretary of State Kerry and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman in Washington as the pair present a united front, the later reporting that Secretary Kerry does not blame Israel for the breakdown in the talks.  Meanwhile, Israel Radio notes that despite the deadlock, Israeli and Palestinian negotiating teams are due to meet again today.
