The Daily Telegraph and Metro-London note the reported abduction of a Gaza Palestinian, allegedly by Israelis, in Ukraine. BBC Online and the Evening Standard note a statement by Cameron that Iran will ‘not be missed’ if it chooses not to attend the 2012 Olympic Games. BBC Online also reports the theft of a Rodin sculpture from a museum in Israel.  The Spectator runs a piece critical of British policy toward the Middle East and Israel.  The Daily Telegraph praises Foreign Secretary William Hague for ending what the writer calls the ‘naked partisanship’ toward Israel of the Blair years.

In the Israeli media, Haaretz notes plans by France and the UK to urge the EU to support the rebellion in Libya. The paper has additional pieces on the alleged abduction of a Palestinian in Gaza (along with Maariv and Ynetnews), and plans by Hamas to resume operations in the West Bank. The Jerusalem Post notes a statement by Regional Development Minister Silvan Shalom predicting the fall of the regimes in Iran and Syria. The paper also reports on planned protests in the Gulf today, and quotes a former senior Israeli official who calls on the US to support regime change and protests in Iran, and to increase sanctions. Ynetnews notes PM Cameron’s statement that Iran will not be missed if it chooses not to attend the Olympics. Ynetnews has an additional article noting that Defence Minister Ehud Barak’s spouse is to be charged with employing an illegal immigrant.
