At least three people were killed, and five others wounded, in a shooting at a Jewish high school in the southern French city of Toulouse this morning.

According to reports, a man riding a motorcycle opened fire on the Ozar Hatorah school at around 8:00 am local time when the children were entering the school. The shooter then abandoned the motorcycle, entered the school and began shooting at the students and faculty, resulting in the deaths of at least three students, one adult, and wounded five other students. According to the latest reports, the adult killed was the rabbi of the school.

French police said that the man opened fire with an automatic pistol of the same kind that was seen at two previous attacks on soldiers in Toulouse and the nearby town of Montauban last week. Three soldiers died in the two incidents and one was seriously wounded.

The street of the school was closed off and a large police force was deployed at the scene. Some 50 French police officers were drafted into the investigation, the French media reported this morning.
