Six Border Guard officers and five settlers were wounded this morning, as the Israeli authorities sought to evacuate and dismantle four illegally built structures in the West Bank settlement of Alei Ayin. Police said afterwards that officers assisting the civil authorities were confronted by a large demonstration, stone throwing and attempts to block roads. A Spokesman for the settlers, meanwhile, accused the police of using excessive force and using stun grenades unnecessarily. Three settlers were arrested for rioting.
