Israel allows 300 Palestinians from Libya to return to the West Bank

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday made a humanitarian gesture towards the Palestinian Authority and allowed 300 Palestinians living in Libya to enter the Palestinian territories in the West Bank over the next few days. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said because of the violence in Libya he received a request from PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to allow for 300 Palestinians living in Libya to enter the West Bank. Netanyahu added that the gesture was made because the Palestinians in Libya faced “concern for their safety and for their very lives and “as a mark of our desire for good neighbourliness.”
