A number of Israeli diplomats have returned to Egypt, to re-commence the activities of the Israeli embassy in Cairo, according to a report in the weekly al-Ahram newspaper. The report said that four diplomats – a consul, an advisor and two security officers – had returned. The embassy has been closed since it was stormed by a mob 10 days ago. The embassy will not be re-established in the same building as before, but rather at a new location that has not yet been disclosed. There are no plans for Israeli ambassador Yitzhak Levanon to return to Egypt at the present time, according to foreign ministry sources quoted in Ynetnews this morning.
