Various papers look at the 16th Non Aligned Movement summit than begins today in Tehran. The Financial Times sees the summit as a platform for Iran to portray itself as a victim of Western and Israeli sponsored terrorist acts. Several of papers look ahead to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) report due out today on Iran. The Guardian notes the report is expected to say Iran has rapidly increased the quantity of equipment at an underground enrichment plant in Fordow. The Times suggests this will bolster support for even tougher sanctions. The Independent explores the ‘myth’ that Yasser Arafat was murdered. The article notes the disconcerting idea that the conspiracy theory is widely shared among level-headed Palestinians.

In the Israeli press, all the papers note the High Court’s decision that the residents of Migron must be evicted by next Tuesday. Maariv notes reactions on the left and right. Israel Hayom in its commentary describes the ruling as ‘obvious’. Yediot Ahronot highlights Egyptian president Morsi’s comments that Cairo will re-examine the possibility of obtaining the capacity to produce nuclear energy for civilian purposes. Maariv reports that leading Likud figures have been advising Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in the last few days to move up the elections and to forego attempts to pass the budget. Maariv and Haaretz cover the opening of files relating to the Munich Olympic massacre of 1972.
