IAEA report says bombed Syrian reactor site ‘most likely’ nuclear

[ssba]

A confidential report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) obtained by Reuters said that the Syrian site bombed by Israel in 2007 was ‘very likely’ a nuclear reactor and should have been declared by Syria to the United Nations. The US and European allies may take the reports findings to push the 35-nation board of the IAEA to report Syria to the UN Security Council.

Syria has rejected numerous requests from the international community to inspect and visit the Dair Alzour site, which US intelligence reports have shown is a reactor of North Korean design intended to make fuel for a bomb.
